Trio con Brio

Violinist and violist Lindsey Strand-Polyak, violoncellist Page Smith, and fortepianist Tamara Friedman will

treat you to a scintillating concert of Viennese Classics on period instruments: Haydn’s effervescent Piano Trio in C major, Hob. XV/27, Mozart’s haunting Sonata for violin and piano in E minor, K. 304, and Beethoven’s humorous "Eyeglass" Duo for viola and violoncello in E-flat major, WoO 32, and brilliant Piano Trio, in E-flat major, Op 1, No. 1. Ms. Friedman will be performing on her fine replica of a 1795 Anton Walter fortepiano.

The Classical String Quintet

Acclaimed guest artist Elizabeth Blumenstock, concertmaster of the renowned Philharmonic Baroque Orchestra (San Francisco), heads up a string quintet of rich, clear period instruments with Cecilia Archuleta, Lindsey Strand-Polyak, Laurel Wells, and Meg Brennand performing beloved works in the Classical style, including Mozart’s the highly expressive Quintet in G minor, K. 515.
